The kids are in heaven with their school being closed one day this week and delayed the next. Tomorrow looks like it might be another free day for them. It is Tyler's 9th birthday today and he feels like this snow storm has come just for him. It really is more like a dusting of snow, but with the ice that just won't melt the roads are hard to drive on. The joy that I see in the kid's eyes when they looked outside and it was white was wonderful. There is nothing like a snow day!

yes i heard about all the snow you've been getting up there. sounds like fun for the kids - we have to go to the sierra's to see any snow around here - it would be fun to have some in the front yard once in awhile! hope it clears up around christmas though cause we have to drive ;( we'll be there probably around friday or saturday before christmas and leave on new years day. see ya soon!
My kids did the same thing. We only got about half an inch yesterday but they were freaking out. It's really cold here too and the roads were nasty today. No days off for us though. But they did fill bowls of snow for breakfast this morning. I used to think eating snow was fun, now I'm a little too squeemish.
Don't you love it how Washingtonian kids can have so much fun in 1/2 inch of snow? My daughter did a snow angel in her Sunday dress on the way out to the car (no coat!) LOL! It was hilarious!
