We enjoyed the summer, but all good things must come to an end. The girls woke up bright and early this morning. No need for the alarm I had set! Hannah and Sara were so excited to get to school and see their friends and new teachers. Emily did not want to feel left out in the excitement so last night she made her lunch along side her siblings and a few weeks ago got her back pack all filled with school supplies. She starts preschool next week.

Check out Hannah's shirt and pants, she could hardly wait to wear this new outfit. Sara was just as excited to wear and outfit that Hannah had in kindergarten. I saved a box of clothes that fit Sara great now. She loves to have anything of Hannah's. She reminds me of myself with my sister's clothes.

Enjoy your first day! Emily, Samantha and I are ready to have some fun of our own!

wow! such big kids!! can you believe it?!? is emily so excited for preschool? does it make you sad or just excited for her?! i keep thinking i will be so sad to send andrew off to preschool (even though he DOES drive me crazy some days). have fun with with the little ones at home!!:)
oh my goodness i miss those kids! tyler is in middle school now isn't he?! did he ride his bike to school? i can't believe sara is in 1st grade!
happy back to school!!!
It is so funny to see your kids dressed in pants and jackets. Our kids still can't go out to recess because of heat advisories. I would kill for a little of your weather right now!
I'm so jealous of all these kids that get a few extra weeks of summer vacation. My kids are in their THIRD week of school!
They all look adorable!
Good luck with back to school!
oh yes, the sister's clothes. wait until they get to be in high school! 4 girls switching and swapping, won't that be fun?
Back to school, yay! but still so sad that they are growing up! I mean look at Tyler, he rides his bike to school, pretty soon he will be driving his sister to seminary!
We love passing down the clothes here too, stella and meredith act like they are on a fabulous shopping spree when I pull out the bins! I hope it lasts a few more years! Anna NEVER let me borrow her clothes so i would sneak them sometimes, hide it under my coat and hope I wouldn't bump into her that day! But it never really worked, she always caught me sooner or later.
Enjoy your day!
Sherrie, "switching and swapping"...more like sneaking, hiding, and wearing the sister's clothes when they aren't looking! Kirsten did NOT like to share! It's amazing how much little siblings look up to the older ones.
Hannah's bag is my favorite! And she gets to wear that everyday.
Yeah, I noticed the sweat suits and was immediately uncomfortable because it is still 95 degrees here.
Our children are wearing shorts and t-shirts to school. Our summer clothes have a long shelf life. By October they may have to wear a sweater to the bus stop in the morning, but they'll be sweating by lunch.
I'm happy for you Erika, that you have your young one's at home and get to relax a tiny bit.
Our house is always the messiest in the summertime. All those children home all day!
